Maltstock Down Under 15–17 May 2026 |

A not-for-profit, community-led whisky festival inspired by the cult-favourite Dutch festival Maltstock, now coming to the Tasmanian Highlands for the first time.

Strictly limited to 100 guests, this fully all-inclusive long weekend brings together whisky lovers for three days of tasting, learning and great company. Guests enjoy scheduled visits to local distilleries, fireside “Drinks With…” presentations by distillers and brand representatives, a blind tasting competition, BBQ, cocktail bar and more — with over 80 whiskies to sample across the weekend.

At the heart of the event is The Gathering, a bring-a-bottle tradition where every guest shares a bottle with the group, creating a constantly evolving communal tasting experience.

All tickets include accommodation, meals, transport to and from Hobart, distillery visits, tastings and activities.
