Family Research & Reunions

Find a connection!

Download a fabulous family history example here:

So many of Australia’s early settlers came through Van Diemen’s Land. Perhaps as convicts, sometimes in transit, often as free settlers, in the military, or colonial staff. What most of them did, was leave clues as to who they were, where they came from, and where they were going (and perhaps, who they were with at different times in that journey!).

Whether through Marriage Rolls, Shipping Records, Government documents or archived correspondence, family history research can reveal so many wonderful stories and understanding; which is why genealogy is one of Australia’s fastest growing pastimes!

Due to its own connection with so many of Tasmania’s early settlers, Ratho Farm has always figured prominently in colonial genealogy research. Now, through a team of Family Research Experts, we will be offering on-site Advisory Guides & Resources, every day of the year, as well as the ability to book ahead for more personal, hands-on assistance.

Ratho Farm will soon release its schedule of Genealogy Weekends for group training and research, and will always be available for booking 1-on-1 coaching, or side-by-side research assistance.
